Proverbs 23

Today, make sure to read Proverbs 23

Lessons to be learned from P23:

Do not be given to gluttony. Allow for godly restraint.
Do not go hard and fast for riches. They are fleeting.

Be cautious about allowing yourself to become burdensome to anyone-especially those who are insincere.
Do not speak to fools, for they will scorn your prudent words.

Do not overstep your boundaries; taking advantage of another.
Give yourselves to disciplined instruction; open your ears to tested knowledge.

Proper discipline is a blessing to a child. It is useful for keeping them on the righteous path.
The wisdom of a son brings joy to his father.

The gains of sinners may be attractive but don’t embrace their ways. Instead, seek the ways of the Lord and be assured that you will not be cut off.
Beware of those enticements which will compromise your wise and sober judgment. They can get deep into the soul and put you on a destructive path.

Seek truth, wisdom, instruction, and insight.
